Ummm, A Tour of Zabar’s and a Fun Recipe

If you’ve been there, this little movie might bring a nostalgic tear to your eye, if not, wait no longer.

Here is one of Tori’s recipes, which I can’t wait to try. It is Tipsy Trifle.

Trifle dates back to about 1600 and differentiates itself from other British food by being delicious.

Tori, a Food Anthropologist by training, bills herself as the Shiksa in the Kitchen, and shares the results of her studies on her very fun Blog.

Here is Tipsy Trifle with Peaches and Cream. Save time by buying a nice sponge cake, you can still claim your Trifle is home made; after all you didn’t really make the Rum either.
